The Memorial Society is able to help your group
organize an educational program dealing with end of life planning. This can be done in a variety
of formats, from one to ten sessions, and cover a range of topics, utilizing professional
specialists from the community. Some of the topics that have been presented in the past are:
• Wills, powers of attorney, letters of instruction
• Advanced health directives (living will, durable power of attorney for health care)
• Body, organ and tissue donation
• Disposition of one's remains; making arrangements in advance
• Understanding and preparing for grief
• Estate planning for the later years
• Advanced preparations for long-term care: institutions and financing
• Incorporating charitable giving in estate plans
